Gotcha Days
At Gillian’s Greyhound Adoption (GGA), Gotcha Days hold a special place in our hearts. These days mark the beginning of the next chapter for retired racing greyhounds. In this chapter, they transition from their successful careers on the track to becoming pet companions in their perfectly matched, loving retirement homes with their forever families.
Gotcha Days are about more than just adoption—they celebrate the journey of these exceptional athletes. Every step of their journey is meaningful, from their time as puppies, running and playing as carefree as a pup could wish, to their time as students at track school, and then on to being racers, cared for by dedicated trainers and kennel staff, to the moment they step into their forever homes. It’s a day filled with excitement as they meet their new families, explore their surroundings, and start building bonds that will last a lifetime.
These moments remind us of the incredible partnerships between the racing community, adoption groups, and loving adopters who ensure these greyhounds continue to be celebrated and loved.
