Available for Adoption

While it’s easy to fall for a photograph, we believe a picture can't convey the nuances of a greyhound’s personality. At GGA, we prioritize thoughtful matches based on personality, behaviours, and mutual compatibility. Our process ensures a lifelong bond between you and your new family member.

If we currently have no paw advertised as available for adoption, that doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t have any paws available for adoption.

Many of our adoptables are in evaluative foster care prior to making their 'world wide web' and social media debuts.

Judy

CET Judith, a black female whelped on April 5, 2021, established herself as a model of consistency and grit at the West Virginia racing circuit. Owned by Carl E. Tomblin II and campaigned by the prestigious CET Kennel, her lineage was a strategic blend of international stamina and local expertise. Her sire, Kiowa Myth, was a celebrated international athlete who passed down a professional demeanor and physical durability, while her dam, CET Baby Boo, was a cornerstone of the Tomblin program known for producing chasers with elite "track sense."

Throughout her career, Judith was a true specialist at Tri-State Greyhound Park, completing exactly 80 professional starts. Her tenure was defined by remarkable reliability rather than just raw speed. She recorded 9 wins, 10 seconds, 11 thirds, and 16 fourths, "hitting the board" in 57.5% of her races. This high-value consistency allowed her to ascend to Grade A, where she competed against the track’s most seasoned sprinters.

Tactically, Judith was a sophisticated "closer." Lacking explosive early-box speed, she relied on a powerful mid-race engine and a "never-quit" attitude to pick off opponents in the home straight. As a dedicated rail-runner, she was most effective in Traps 1 and 2, where she could hug the inner turns. Completing 80 starts without significant layoffs, she retired in early 2024 with a personal best of 30.44 seconds, leaving a legacy as a quintessential "working class" chaser who prioritized tactical perseverance over all else.

Bibi Boom

Lk’s Sonic Boom, affectionately known as Bibi Boom, is a black and white male greyhound whelped on September 1, 2017. A true homebred athlete, he was both bred and owned exclusively by Jill Lashmet. His pedigree features a strong "Lk" lineage, sired by Lk’s Now R Never out of Lk’s Whispering, a combination designed for the rigorous competition of the American racing circuit.

Bibi Boom’s professional career took place entirely at Southland Casino Racing in West Memphis, Arkansas. Over a span of 28 professional starts, he established himself as a durable and reliable "Grader." Competing primarily within the Grade C, D, and M (Maiden) categories, he recorded a career tally of 3 wins, 5 seconds, 1 third, and 2 fourths. His personal best time on the demanding 583-yard Southland course was clocked at 32.53 seconds.

Tactically, Bibi Boom was a mid-track closer. Statistical analysis of his racing logs shows he was rarely drawn in the inside rail positions (Traps 1 and 2), instead frequently starting from the middle-to-outside traps. He lacked explosive early-box speed, often sitting toward the back of the pack at the first turn. However, he was a persistent "grinder" with a strong mid-race engine, methodically picking off opponents in the backstretch to secure his high frequency of second-place finishes. Bibi Boom retired in October 2020, leaving the track as a respected, consistent performer for the Lester Raines Kennel.

Milo (Reserved)

Milo, known on the track as Thrilling Milo, is a handsome black male greyhound whelped on November 17, 2018, in New Zealand. Bred from the accomplished pairing of Thrilling Boris and Thrilling Lola, Milo carried the respected "Thrilling" bloodline onto the racetrack with determination and consistency throughout his career.

After qualifying in early 2021, Milo quickly began to make his presence known on New Zealand tracks. He showed versatility by competing successfully over both sprint and middle-distance events, proving equally capable at shorter distances and the more demanding 527-metre races. His breakthrough came in February 2021 when he captured his maiden victory at Auckland over 527 metres, winning convincingly by more than five lengths. That performance launched a productive racing campaign that would see him steadily climb through the grades.

Throughout the spring of 2021, Milo developed into a dependable competitor. He recorded victories at both Cambridge and Auckland, demonstrating early speed, race sense, and the ability to maintain his position under pressure. Among his highlights were impressive wins over 527 metres at Auckland, including a determined Grade C1 victory in March and a narrow but courageous Grade C2/3 triumph in May. He also proved his sprinting ability with a win at Cambridge over 375 metres, showcasing his adaptability across different racing formats.

Milo's racing record reflects a dog who was consistently competitive. Across 30 career starts, he earned 6 victories, 9 second-place finishes, and 3 third-place finishes, accumulating $16,814 in prize money. His record reveals a greyhound who was often in contention, finishing in the top three in 18 of his 30 starts. While he won races from a variety of box positions, he enjoyed particular success from the inside and outside draws, highlighting his versatility and professionalism as a racer.

His final races came during the winter of 2021, where he continued to compete at higher grades against tougher opposition. After concluding his racing career in August 2021, Milo retired having established himself as a capable and honest competitor who always gave his best effort on the track.

Izzy (Reserved)

Born on September 25, 2020, in New Zealand, Southern Hope—known affectionately as Izzy—is a black female greyhound whose name perfectly reflects her journey. Izzy made her racing debut in 2022 and quickly proved herself to be a consistent and competitive sprinter. Racing primarily over the 390-metre distance at Addington, she earned her first victory in June 2022 and steadily climbed through the grades. Along the way, she developed a reputation as an honest race dog who always gave her best effort, regardless of box draw or competition.

Over the course of her career, Izzy made 77 official starts, recording 10 wins, 14 second-place finishes, and 8 third-place finishes while earning $25,650 in prize money. Her success came from consistency rather than flash, repeatedly collecting cheques and proving herself a reliable performer week after week.

Whether leading from the front or working her way through the field, Izzy showed resilience and determination that kept her competitive throughout her racing career. She was particularly effective from the middle box draws, recording wins from Boxes 2, 3, 4, and 6.

As her racing career wound down in late 2024 and early 2025, Izzy continued to display the same enthusiasm and professionalism that had carried her through nearly three years on the track. Her final victory came in December 2024, a hard-fought Class 2 win that served as a fitting reminder of the talent and grit she possessed throughout her career. She officially retired in March 2025 having left behind a record that reflected consistency, durability, and heart.

Chomper

Chomper (Wild Chomp Dude) is a 4.5-year-old, 78-lb black male from Barcelona Boss and XK Out N Gone.

After graduating from track school, Chomper headed to Wheeling Downs to join trainer Jill Spicer at Xtrem Hess Racing kennel. After 11 attempts at a maiden over 548 yards, Chomper moved to 678 yards as a two-year-old. After six starts, Chomper had some time off to reschool, and on November 17, 2023, officially schooled in the 548-yard distance to finish 6th. He would have two starts in Grade C in the 548-yard distance before returning to the 678-yard distance. He would have 19 starts, hitting the board just enough to avoid a grade-off. He returned to the 548-yard distance on April 27, 2024, and won it with a strong finish. Up in Grade C, he would have three more starts before winning with a stretch rush. Up in Grade B, he would have two starts with 7th-place finishes before heading back to the 678-yard distance. After eight starts with only two board hits, he took some time off again to unofficially reschool. Two months later, he officially schooled twice at 548 yards, with 5-3 finishes. He would have two starts in Grade D with 5-4 finishes before going into three stakes qualifiers. Back in Grade C, he won with a stretch rush by 1.5 lengths. Up in Grade B, he would have five starts before again having some time off. He officially schooled to start the 2025 new year, finishing 2nd in hot pursuit. Back in Grade B, he would have two starts before dropping to Grade C for three starts, winning on his third start by 0.5 lengths. Chomper then settled into a nice rhythm of Grade C and B for the next 21 starts. He officially schooled for bad lines before returning to Grade C. While Chomp would have four starts in Grade A over the next 45 starts, he would continue with his performances in Grade B/C. After his 8th-place finish on March 21, 2026, it was decided to retire Chomper.

Chomper retires with 135 graded races, with 5 schooling races. He hit the board in 71 of his starts, or 53%. He was also a finalist in the 2023 $65,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association. His fastest times were 30.01 seconds at 548 yards on May 17, 2025, and 38.68 seconds at 678 yards on March 16, 2024. His entire career lasted 76 minutes over 962 days.
